Corrections

We will get things wrong. A local paper that never runs a correction is not careful, it is just not telling you. Here is every error we have published.

The policy

When we publish an error, we correct it in the next issue. The correction states what we originally said as well as what was actually true, so you can see the shape of the mistake. We do not quietly edit the archive and move on.

Corrections run in the body of the issue, not appended somewhere you would have to go looking for them. If the error was in a subject line, the correction says so.

What counts

A correction is for a factual error: a wrong number, a wrong name, a wrong date, a vote reported backwards, a business placed on the wrong road.

An update is different. If a story was accurate when it ran and the situation later changed, that is an update, and it does not mean we were wrong the first time. Disagreement is a third thing again. If you think our framing was unfair rather than inaccurate, tell us anyway.

Email tips@readroundabout.com. Say which issue or page, what we said, and what it should say. If you have the source that shows it, include that and this goes much faster. It reaches the publisher directly. There is no form and no ticket queue in between.

1. August 20, 2026 · Issue #46

   Milton Restaurant Week dates

   What we said: Our previous two issues said Milton Restaurant Week runs September 8 to 14.

   What was true: It runs September 14 to 20. The city's own page carried the wrong dates when we pulled the lineup and the city caught it the same morning. Our guide was corrected. The fifteen restaurants and their prices were unaffected.

2. August 9, 2026 · Issue #41

   All Nashville Roadshow listing

   What we said: Thursday's issue listed Friday's All Nashville Roadshow as a free event inside the Hyde Brewing taproom.

   What was true: Two things were wrong. The show was ticketed, and it was held on the new outdoor green beside Hyde Brewing rather than in the taproom. Both are part of Market District Crabapple. We corrected the events page. A reader caught this one.

3. August 4, 2026 · Issue #39

   Crabapple Road and Green Road signal

   What we said: We said twice that the new signal at Crabapple Road and Green Road would switch on July 30.

   What was true: It did not. The city cited unexpected problems with traffic detection, and GDOT moved activation to August 12.

4. July 30, 2026 · Issue #37

   Court hearing day of week

   What we said: Tuesday's issue described the August 4 court hearing as happening on a Monday.

   What was true: August 4 was a Tuesday. The Council meeting listed for Monday, August 3 was correct.

5. July 5, 2026 · Issue #27

   City budget adoption

   What we said: Thursday's issue said the budget was up for adoption Monday.

   What was true: It was not. Monday began the conversation, with further budget sessions, public input, and the millage-rate vote following over the next several months.

6. May 24, 2026 · Issue #11

   House District 47 primary result

   What we said: We reported that Miller won the HD47 primary outright with 50.7 percent. That was drawn from incomplete tabulations across the district's two counties.

   What was true: The full count put Miller at 49.26 percent, short of the threshold, sending the race to a June 16 runoff with Cochran. This was our most consequential error to date.
