Legacy Park and its fields are closed until the end of August

The parking project at the 8.5-acre athletic complex on Cox Road is well underway. Crews have cleared space to roughly double the number of spaces, and the gravel lot is being rebuilt in asphalt with better lighting and new stormwater pipes. A seating wall is going in, and eventually a Legacy Wall memorializing late members of the local athletic community.

The city says the work is on track to finish by the end of August. Until it does, Legacy Park and its fields are closed to the public. If your kid's team usually practices there, plan on it staying that way for the rest of the summer.
