A flat rate can still mean a bigger bill
A quick note for anyone who opened a 2026 Fulton assessment notice and did a double take. Next door in Alpharetta, the city is holding its millage rate flat (5.75, unchanged since 2009), yet it still had to advertise a 6.5% property-tax increase, because rising reassessments alone push bills up even when the rate doesn't move. The same math applies in Milton. If your assessed value jumped and the number looks off, this is the season to review it; appeal deadlines come fast.
