Top of Mind
La Shaunda Latham, who teaches at Milton High, has been named Fulton County Schools' 2026 High School Teacher of the Year. The district announced the recognition this week, though details about Latham's subject area and tenure weren't included in the release.
The award is Fulton County Schools' top annual honor for high school educators. Milton High last took the district's high school teacher of the year title in 2023 (that was English teacher Jennifer Benko). Latham's recognition comes as Milton High continues to post strong academic outcomes — the Eagles logged a 96% graduation rate in the most recent state accountability data.
