Milton tops the metro price list, and it is not close

Zillow's June numbers are out, and Milton has the most expensive homes of the 147 cities and towns tracked across the Atlanta metro: a typical home value of $958,053, up 2.5% in a year and 44.8% over five. Second-place Berkeley Lake sits about $171,000 back. Alpharetta lands fifth at $730,793, with Johns Creek sixth and Roswell ninth.

One number to sit with: five years ago, the typical Milton home ran about $660,000. That is the run-up your assessment notice has been chasing.
