If a survey postcard shows up this week, it is not junk mail
The City has kicked off its every-two-years National Community Survey. Polco, the independent firm running it, began mailing postcards to 4,000 Milton households this week: a random, representative cross-section, each card carrying a link specific to that household.
Responses get weighted by age, gender, location, and other demographics. That makes this the statistically meaningful read on how Milton feels about parks, police, and quality of life, plus Milton-specific questions on sidewalks, trails, and economic development.
It is also how the City tracks opinion over time and against other cities. This year's mailing is bigger than any past round, and selected households get a paper follow-up this summer.
If you get one, take it. Not selected? An open version for everyone (unscientific, but welcome) arrives around the end of August; you can sign up to be notified. All responses are due September 16, results shared in the fall. Trouble with your link: survey@polco.us.
