Crabapple Fest stayed dry. Register to vote by Monday

The rain held off Saturday, and the crowds came. Crabapple Fest filled Crabapple Road with vendor tents, food trucks and, for the first time, a music stage. The city closed the fest at 4:30 p.m., half an hour ahead of the 5 o’clock finish on its schedule, because of uncertainty about the weather on the way.

Today, the weather service gives an 85 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, with a high of 74.

Thursday we asked whether rain in the forecast would keep you home from Crabapple Fest. Of the 37 of you who tapped an answer, the biggest group, 13, planned to go only if it stayed dry. It did.
